1 person dead after shooting, crash in Dellwood

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - Police are investigating a homicide in North St. Louis County, where one person died Tuesday evening.

On Friday, the victim was identified as 19-year-old Lafranz Deandre Wilson Jr.

The incident occurred around 2:50 p.m. near West Florissant Ave. and Chambers.

Officers on scene were met by a 23-year-old man and a dead 19-year-old man, a multi-vehicle accident blocking the intersection, several shell casings, and multiple weapons.

Police on Friday identified the 19-year-old as Deandre Wilson Jr. of Florissant, Missouri.

The North County Police Cooperative arrested the 23-year-old suspect. Police say a total of twenty-four shell casings were recovered at the scene, and three firearms. One of them was equipped with a ‘machinegun conversion device.’

The incident is still under investigation. Police said they have presented the case to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and the case is under review.
